Is this the real reason for the Government's insistence on introducing a National ID Card system?
Q. The Government has now completely lost track and count of the number of people entering and remaining without permission to stay in this country. A census would not work, because illegals just wouldn't fill in the forms, so this way, they can get the police to do the dirty work of keeping tabs on everyone.

A. it still wont work even with id cards. the goverment are just power hungry fools who want to controll every aspect of our lifes. No sooner than having id cards introdiced and the criminals will have come up with a way to counterfit and scam your card. just look at chip and pin the socalled technology to stop credit card fraud it is just as easy as it was before

Has the insistence of bloodless procedures by Jehovah witness help push advancements in bloodless procedures?
Q. How has bloodless procedures benefited everyone medically? How has it not? Besides being a Jehovah Witness, what other procedures where bloodless or no blood methods are used and is best to use?
Asked by DesiDani(still waiting for 12am) - Wed Jan 28 13:34:33 2009 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. JW has NO effect on how surgeries are done. Ideally, they would all be "bloodless". Many have negligible blood loss. There are times when surgeons will not operate on JW patients because, although JWs have the right to refuse blood, surgeons do not have to be the instruments of their demise. We give blood products only when medically indicated, because there is always risk associated with transfusion. Only when the risk of NOT transfusing exceeds the risk of giving blood do we give it. With the exception of traumas and procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass, transfusion during surgery is a fairly uncommon event.

How wise was Washington's insistence on neutrality? What would you like to ask?
Q. What about the fact that, while this foreign policy stance may not have violated the letter of the alliance with France, it did violate the spirit of the alliance? In what sense, if any, is the idea of a Revolution of 1800 justified? (Note that Jefferson himself always considered that his election represented a genuine revolution but what did he really mean or understand by that term in this context?)
Asked by Cilla :D - Tue Nov 11 19:51:39 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It was wise as. Staying neutral meant that no nation had an excuse to attack it. Why is the US fighting so much wars now? It ignored Washington's advice, became an empire-builder and is fighting to conserve its empire.

Is America's insistence on choosing Presidents out of fear rather than intelligence, given Bin Laden Power?
Q. The American Electorate has become more and more erratic since 911, people reach ridiculous conclusions, accept obvious lies,we are more divided than anytime since the 60's and we don't even look for competence in our leaders, just assume that Republicans are right on National Security no matter who their candidate is. Common sense has no impact on our choices and negative Politics now rule the land.

Asked by Corky Thatcher - Wed Jul 29 14:24:43 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It's not different at all. For me personally, I don't preach to anyone about what I believe. I could care less what each individual person believes; it's when someone decides I need to think the same way they do I get annoyed. I'm not atheist, but I think the question could be put to just about any group and the answer is the same. If my next door neighbor wants to worship the cockroaches in his walls that's all fine and good as long as he doesn't tell me I'm wrong in what I believe and I need to worship his cockroaches too, or they'll come and eat my walls or something.

They know that they can't get away with cutting off funding ... Here's the proof that democrats are hypocrites & traitorous criminals ... "One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998 "If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. Is Bush's insistence to implement UN Security Council Resolution a little hypocritical?
Q. How is it that Bush can, with a straight face, expect North Korea to comply with UN resolutions, when he clearly disregarded the UN when invading Iraq?
Asked by Super Ruper - Fri Feb 16 10:30:03 2007 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Because he (and a lot of the people in the US) think it's one rule for them and a different rule for everyone else. The US owes millions to the UN in back payments that every country must legally pay. Also, if the UN wasn't based in the US i don't think they would even bother to show up. The US government clearly holds the UN in contempt and only sees it as a means of achieving their own goals when it suits them.

How is income separated between business income and S-Corp income?
Q. My friend is a professional snowboarder who set up an S Corp last year at his accountant's insistence. He has parted ways with the accountant and wants to file on his own, but on the "Income tax summary" he received from his accountant last year, there is "Business income" and "Rent, royalty, partnership, SCorp, Trust" income and he has amounts in both areas. My question is how the accounant determined which amounts belonged in which areas--his income comes directly from his sponsors and he gets 1099 forms from them, and the only other income he has is from contest wins. He is the only owner/employee of the SCorp and does not have any complex accounting issues. I pretty much just want to know if income needs to be separated (onto Schedules… [cont.]
Asked by lulu22785 - Sun Sep 2 19:21:53 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The most likely reason is that the S-corp did not exist at the beginning of the year and all income from before it's existance would be considered self-employment income (Schedule C). S-Corps do NOT use Schedule E. They are their own entity and have to file their own return and pass the income to your friend via a K-1 or similar document. My advise to you and your friend is to forget doing this on your own and find a competent CPA or Premium H&R Block office (Premium offices are rarer and handle the really complicated returns like this).

Asked by Change Now - Fri Oct 2 23:51:01 2009 - - 8 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Is it right to profit off a neighbors hunger? Is it right to profit off a neighbors exposure to the elements? So, shouldn't all farmers just give their crops away. Shouldn't all merchants just give away cloths? Shouldn't all construction workers work for free? Look, we get it. You want a free handout. There is simply no logical argument for why you should get one.

What is your worst "do-it-yourself" horror story?
Q. I am trying to talk a friend out of trying to replace the windows in her house herself. I keep telling her it is NOT that easy since I hired a company specializing in windows and doors and saw firsthand the work it takes to remove old windows and then replace them. My friend has done some work around her house like re-tiling her bathroom and replacing the sink and to be truthful, while it's passable work, it LOOKs like somebody who didn't know what they were doing. The work will pass I guess but I can't understand why someone who has the money won't hire a professional. Won't her insistence on doing it herself only serve to lower the value of her home if she should decide to sell?

He works in an office all week, and wanted to "get a tan and enjoy working outside". I kept telling him no, I would not take him, but finally had to. One summer day, Garry is helping me build a storage shed. It is normally a one day job and I am rushing. Garry doesn't believe we will get done, let alone beat the rain. He is more In-The-Way than out of the way, but I did find him small jobs to do and he did okay until it was really rush-rush time just as dusk rolled in. I was almost done with the roofing.
